Annabelle 13/14 Months

Annabelle's mile stones for 13/14 Months:

1. You can say Mom, Dad, done, bye, and you like to whisper dog.

2. Whomever is taking care of you, you call them Mom, haha!

3. You like to take our hands and then lead them to something you want to show us or want us to do
for you.

4. You still love to eat lots and lots of cheese.

5. You are the sweetest and love to give kisses to everyone, you walk up to all the little kids and give them kisses without me telling you to...melts my heart.

6. For your 2nd Halloween this year you were a little witch, we borrowed the costume from Rachael Adams.

7. We finally bought you a Recaro car seat and you are happier because you can see out the window, but we still keep it rear facing because we feel that you are a lot safer that way.

8. You love to walk around with your blanket wrapped on you like it's a cape.

9. You like to snuggle with your teddy bears, blankets and dolls.

10. You finally started to move your feet when you dance.

11. You always say "no, no, no, no" and sometimes will even shake your finger while saying it!

12. We reached a huge mile stone with you and you now will take both of your naps in your crib, still working on bedtime and having you fall asleep on your own.

13. You still love to eat oatmeal for breakfast.

14. You love to go to story time at the Library every Wednesday with Mrs. Kelly and do the chicken dance where you shake these toy eggs.

15. You understand when Mom tells you to get your shoes, purse, teddy bear or jacket.

16. You stand on your tip toes to reach the door knobs and open all the doors.

17. You can say "please", "more" and "all done" in sign language.

18. You like to pretend that you can jump and it's so funny because really you just bend your little knees!

19. We started swim classes at the hospital in Oct 2012 and you love it, you are getting used to the water and enjoy being in it.

20. You are the sweetest little girl and give kisses to everyone, it's adorable!

21. You are really good at sharing your toys with other kids.

22. Your new favorite thing is to say, "done, done!" before you even start to eat.

23. You love to sit on anyone or anything and I finally found you a little pink plastic chair and you love it. You also like when Mom gives you a wipey and then you clean your chair.

24. You'll stop whatever you are doing just to give mom and dad a kiss, seriously the sweetest little girl, we consider you an angel!

We often go to Laughlin with Jeff's work to eat at this amazing burger place in one of the Casino's there. While the rest of his co-workers are drinking we go outside and enjoy walking around until everyone is ready to eat. It's been nice to leave Kingman and take those little breaks and enjoy some yummy food!

Your cupcake pj's that your Aunt Tara bought for you.

Dad's keep the tradition alive and still making chocolate scones during conference weekend.

A sleeping princess all beautiful in pink.

Mommy will always find time for us to play photo booth!!!

You are your Dad's twin through and through!

The living room has truly turned into your play room, a day of mess!

We bought this pink bucket to try and somewhat organize your toys but you would rather sit in it!

Dad played church softball one night and we went to go and watch him,
he looks so hot when he plays!

At story time with Rach and Charly! Mrs. Kelly is so nice and always thinks of
fun books to read and activities for you guys to do.

Lately you have been falling asleep right after you eat and it's kinda nice because then I can
take you straight to your crib for your nap.

Your Auntie Joshee thought it would be fun to create a babies SYTYCD
and stared working on your flexibility!

The many faces of Annabelle, including your famous squint eye look!

Dressed and ready for church, you look so cute in these little maxi skirts I got you!

You and Charlotte love to take turns pushing eachother around in this little car,
you mainly make Charly push you though!

You and Charly waiting to start your swim lesson at the hospital gym!

FAITHFUL, PIONEERING, CHARITABLE, INTELLIGENT, TRUSTWORTHY,
ENERGETIC, PASSIONATE,
HAPPY & LOVING NIKKI SALINE…
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!!!

Nikki, just wanted you to know that on your special day I was thinking of you and how blessed I feel to be able to call you my very BEST FRIEND.  I wish I could be there to give you a birthday hug and a well deserving present, but hopefully these memories and reflections will remind you of how much I love and appreciate the person you are and have become.

How lucky am I to have known you since 1998?  That’s 14 years of some serious friendship!  To have a friendship like this be carried out from high school is something special to me.  I remember meeting you in in drama and thinking what a fun, happy and spunky girl you were!  I just always wanted to be around you because your optimistic energy was contagious.  It's simple...you have a pure spirit and are so easy to love.

 I love…

Your ability to always boost my spirits when I’m down in the dumps.  I love that you are such a dedicated and real friend.  I love that I can confide in you and trust that you have my best interest at heart. I love that you accept me for who I am and motivate me to be a better person. I love your voice and wish I could hear you sing all the time.

I appreciate…

All the thousands {literally} of text messages throughout the day and night that are filled with hope, words of wisdom and laughter.  I appreciate your friendship.  I appreciate your willingness to always give me such valuable parenting advice.  I appreciate the time you take to check in on me.  I appreciate the passion you have for all aspects of life.  I appreciate the time we have together where we can laugh, cry and reminisce all at once.

I couldn’t do without…

Your endless remedies of how to make things better for Annabelle.  I couldn’t do without all your guidance of how to be a Mom.  I couldn't do without our late night texts talking about the daily challenges we face. I couldn't have endured breastfeeding without your constant, supportive coaching to just breathe through all the pain.  I couldn't do without the 14 years of memories we have made, I cherish all the moments.

I admire...

The eloquent way you can express yourself through words.  The faith you had to completely change your life and become a member of the church.  I admire the way you look at motherhood and how you are always reevaluating how you can be a better Mom.  Your sewing talent.  I admire the quality time you take to have fun with your kids. Your graphic design abilities.  I admire that no matter what it is you always will put a 100% into anything you are involved with.  I admire your testimony that you have.  I admire your doodling and stick people talent. I admire that you have the strength to keep pushing your handcart through any trench.

I remember...

Always eating Alfredo from a jar in your apartment on Brown St. How good you are at painting toe nails.  Wearing sparkly tights and going to see Rent.  I remember our trips to Eegees in high school.  Driving to California and turning around.  I remember going fluming with the boys.  Our Utah trip to go to conference.  Watching the Olympics with you. Our trips to Jenn's house to have dinner and hang out.  You working at Arby's.  I remember being there on that special day when you received your patriarchal blessing.  Playing the pillow game with Aaron.  I remember being roommates.  I remember you getting married in the Snowflake Temple.  When you let me cut your hair.  Emailing back and forth when we used to work.  You teaching me how to text message.  Your talks in church.  I remember being in Barnum with you in high school. You coming over to my country club apartment when it was really late to talk about boys. The Christmas tree you would put up in your apartment.  Coming to see Collin when he was born.  {That's quite a bit for someone who has Alzheimer's right??}

This is for you BEST FRIEND...may your birthday be filled with relaxation, joy and happiness.  Love you lots.
