Just wanted to document a little bit of Annabelle's world and how it goes round!
MORNINGS:
You usually wake up around 7:00 and then ask for your sippie cup of milk and will lay with me in my bed for a bit and watch Arthur or Caillou. For breakfast you have loved eating Cheerios with honey and honey bear toast. You play for a bit around the house while Mom feeds Paxton. You've had such a big imagination lately while playing with your stuffed animals. You like to put them down for naps and feed them. You still love to play with stickers and draw with markers when Mom lets you. Your kitchen toys are still some of your favorites.
AFTERNOONS:
We try and get out for a bit, but sometimes it just takes too much effort to get you and Pax ready, him fed and both of you in the car. We've enjoyed going to story time on Wednesdays at the library. You always enjoy going to the park and getting ice cream at Mc Donald's or going to your friends houses to play. The friends you have been playing with lately are: Ella Poe, Swayde Marzley, Paizley Hodgson, Landon Bullen, and the Skommesa kids. Kim Monson also likes to come and get you to play, you like going to their place to see the fish and their dog Oreo. You also like to play with your magnets and put them on the fridge, and build castles and chairs out of leggos with Dad. You take your pink chairs with you everywhere, especially to reach things you are not supposed to be getting into…like your toothpaste and chocolate!
You take your nap at noon, and Pax is usually down at the same time so it's a nice break for Mom to catch up on things.
LUNCH:
You like eating cheese crisps, chicken nuggets, leftovers from dinner, cheese/egg burritos, yogurt, carrots/cucumbers with ranch, peanut butter and honey toast, chips, all fruits, pretzels and pretty much anything. You are a really good eater, most of everything we make you will eat. Makes me laugh because whenever I give you pears or apples you only eat the inside of them and never the outer peel. You lick your plate clean when it has ranch on it.
You love to go outside, you have been drawing on our back patio lately with your chalk and love to get wet. Daddy gets home around 3:30 and you like to eat snacks with him on the couch and relax a bit while he takes off his boots. Sometimes I'll take you to the store with me or to run errands. At night we try to go walking, you still love to ride your bike and pick flowers along the way.
You enjoy playing "Ring Around the Rosies" or "Ready Set Go" which is where we run to the front door and back in our front hallway. You love when we read to you, Mom's favorite place as of late to read to you is in your pink tent. At night we get the flash lights out and just read books in there.
When Mom is preparing dinner you love to watch Doc Mc Stuffins, but you call her "Doc Mc Stuffings." Frozen is still one of your favorite movies to watch, you love to eat popcorn while we watch movies.
NIGHT ROUTINE:
A couple of months ago Dad and I finally turned your crib into a toddler bed and you did pretty well with the adjustment. You liked having the freedom of being able to get in and out on your own, granted you were able to climb out of your crib too. When we brought Paxton home we finally broke you of the habit of having one of us always sitting with you at nights in order for you to fall asleep.
You have a very rigid nightly routine that you make us follow to a tee or else it just gives you another reason to get out of bed. You think of any little excuse to come into our bedroom at nights and to delay your own sleep, it makes us laugh but also can be frustrating when we are both exhausted from a long day. Your routine goes as follows:
1. You drink your sippie cup of milk mixed with a little almond milk on the couch while laying on your purple hippo pillow.
2. You put your Dora Pull Up on all by yourself, such a big girl!
3. Then it's time to brush your teeth! We have 2 tooth brushes for you. You go first and then Mommy does it 2nd to make sure all the bugs are out of your mouth!
4. Then you always ask if you can lay with Dad for 5 minutes in his bed and usually I let you, but I don't want you getting in the habit of sleeping in our bed, and plus you throw a fit when I ask you to go to your bed, I know you just want to be with us because Pax is still in our room.
5. We read you stories out of your Big Book of Berenstain Bears Books (You love the Spooky Old Tree, you say "smooky" though!) You also love to read stories about Jesus.
6. You make sure Mom puts some Doterra oil on you because you like the way it smells, and I think it helps you sleep better.
7. We say family prayers together, you usually say the first one then Dad and I will say another.
8. You ask us to tell you a "Once Upon a Time" story. Grammy Shaver got you started on this, when she was here visiting she would make up little stories involving you and would always start them off with once upon a time. It's cute because in return you tell us one. You make us laugh with the things you think of to say, you're so creative and have an awesome imagination when it comes to telling a story. At the end of mine you always say, "Thanks Mom, that was a really good one!"
9. You've inherited my old iPhone and like having "I'm A Child of God" playing or another primary song to help you go to bed.
10. You like having your stuffed animal Scout in bed because he'll sing you bedtime songs.
11. Your lady bug night light that shines stars on the ceiling has to be on.
12. You also insist on having your sippie cup of water in bed, at least we were able to break you of having milk in bed awhile ago.
13. Lately it's tradition for you to get out of bed at least 4 times asking us either to tuck you back in, tell you another story, come and sit with you, or sweetly just to tell us you really, really love us and that we are your best friends!
14. Eventually you fall asleep on your own, but it usually isn't until 9:30, but we can't complain because you still take awesome 2 hour naps during the day!
Makes for a really loooooooong day, but you add so much sparkle to our lives! :)
