Paxey turned 1 month old today in the NICU, so nurse Linda and I decided it was appropriate to do a photoshoot with you! I love coming in each day to see your smiling face, Mommy misses you so much at night time. You are still so little and remind me and Dad of a baby animal! You've been gaining weight each week so we are still hopeful that you will come home soon.
1 Month Milestones:
1. You still love your baths.
2. You are weighing in at 5 lbs 3 oz.
3. Nurse Linda convinced me that it was time to take your feeding tube out, she assured me that when they do usually the babies fly from there and go home soon after. I said ok and she did it!
4. After they took your feeding tube out you nursed for 25 mins, that's the best you've ever done!
5. You love kangaroo time with Mommy still.
6. You rarely fuss, and when you do you are easily consoled.
7. You are finally too big for your preemie clothes.
8. You take your binky at nights when you cry.
9. All the nurses love you and comment all the time on how much hair you have.
10. You are taking 1 full bottle now at each feeding which is another good sign that you might be able to come home soon. You drink 3-4 bottles a day.
11. You've been in the NICU now for 4 weeks and 2 days.
12. The Dr. came in one night while doing her rotations and told us that out of the 49 babies in the NICU you were the healthiest one in there.
